This February 19, 2015 NPR article talks about Dr. Pauli Murray who was the first African-American woman to be ordained as an Episcopal Priest, at one point protested segregation laws on riding the bus and refused to give up her seat 15 years before Rosa Parks did the same thing, Dr. Pauli Murray has also earned sainthood among other things.
